How to connect the Vendd MCP server to Manus
Add Vendd to Manus as an MCP connector with the URL https://mcp.vendd.app, authorize access in your account and ask for site changes in your tasks.
On this page
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI assistants use tools from other services. In Manus, an MCP server becomes a connector: with the Vendd MCP connector, Manus can list your sites, build pages, change text and adjust the design during its tasks, always within the permissions of your account.
Before you start
- Have a Vendd account with at least one site created in the dashboard. The connector works on the sites and pages that already exist in your account: to build a new page, create it in the dashboard first and then ask Manus to fill it in.
- Have a Manus account and use Manus in your browser or in the desktop app.
- If you are a collaborator in a company on Vendd, you need permission to edit sites in that company.
Manus calls this option Add MCP by URL and still labels it as beta. If it does not show up in your account, see the alternatives in Common problems.
Add the Vendd connector
- Open Manus (opens in a new tab) in your browser or in the desktop app.
- In the message box, click Connect apps (the plug icon) and then Add connectors. You can also get there from the Manus settings, under Connectors.
- Click Create and choose Add MCP by URL.
- Fill in the fields:
- Server name:
Vendd - Server URL:
https://mcp.vendd.app
- Server name:
- Leave Advanced settings empty and click Save. Manus checks the server and detects on its own that Vendd uses OAuth sign-in.
https://mcp.vendd.appDo not enter an OAuth client ID or secret, and do not add headers or tokens. Vendd does not use any of them: access is always authorized in your own account.
Authorize access in your Vendd account
After you save, Manus opens the Vendd sign-in screen in a new browser tab. If it does not open, the request shows up in the first task that uses Vendd, with the message Please login to use this connector and a button to sign in. The Vendd authorization screen is currently in Portuguese, so the labels below include a translation.
- Sign in with the email and password of your Vendd account.
- Under Empresa que o app poderá acessar (company the app can access), choose the company that owns the sites you want to edit.
- Under Permissões solicitadas (requested permissions), keep the Sites permission turned on.
- Click Autorizar acesso (authorize access) and go back to Manus.
If the Sites permission does not appear on the authorization screen, authorize anyway and grant the permission from the Vendd dashboard: open Settings > Connected apps, click Manage permissions next to Manus, turn on Sites and click Save permissions. The change applies immediately, with no need to connect again.
Use Vendd in a task and test it
- Start a new task in Manus.
- Click Connect apps in the message box and check that Vendd is turned on.
- Send the message:
Use the Vendd connector to list my sites.
If everything is set up correctly, Manus replies with the sites in your account. Mentioning the Vendd connector in your request helps Manus pick the right tools.
What you can ask for
The connector gives Manus the Vendd site and page tools: list sites and pages, inspect and review a page, search for text across the whole site, build an entire page, rewrite sections, change text and images, change colors and styles, and edit the menu and footer. A few requests to get started:
Use the Vendd connector to build the Financial Consulting page on the My Consulting site as a landing page to capture leads.Review the home page of the My Consulting site and point out contrast and hierarchy issues.Change the title of the first section of the Contact page to "Talk to us".Find which pages of the site show the old phone number and replace it with the new one.Add a link to the Plans page in the site menu.
The connector does not publish anything. Changes are saved as a draft in the Vendd editor: check the result in the editor and click Publicar (publish) when everything looks right.
Security and permissions
- Manus sees and does only what your account can do in the Vendd dashboard, in the company you chose when authorizing.
- The connector does not publish sites and does not delete sites or pages. It changes and removes content inside pages, always in the draft.
- You do not share a password or API key with Manus. Access is granted on the Vendd authorization screen and can be revoked at any time.
Common problems
| What happens | How to fix it |
|---|---|
| The Add MCP by URL option does not appear | Under Create, choose Custom MCP, set Server Name to Vendd, choose HTTP as the Transport Type, paste the URL into Server URL, leave the headers empty and save. Another option is Import MCP by JSON with the code below this table. |
| Manus says the feature was disabled by your organization | On a team account, whoever manages Manus needs to allow custom connectors. |
| Error when saving the connector | Check that the URL is exactly https://mcp.vendd.app, with no spaces, and try again. |
| The Please login to use this connector message shows up again | The authorization expired. Click the button to sign in and authorize again on the Vendd screen. |
| Manus says it lacks permission to use the tool | Grant the Sites permission in the Vendd dashboard, as described in the warning of the authorization section. |
| The list of sites comes back empty | The account has no site yet. Create the site in the Vendd dashboard and ask again. |
| A site that exists in the dashboard does not appear | You authorized a different company. Disconnect, connect again and choose the right company on the authorization screen. |
Code for Import MCP by JSON:
{
"mcpServers": {
"vendd": {
"type": "streamableHttp",
"url": "https://mcp.vendd.app"
}
}
}If the problem persists, contact the Vendd team.
How to disconnect
- In Manus: open your connectors, click Vendd and, under Manage, choose Disconnect. To remove the connector for good, choose Delete.
- In Vendd: in the dashboard, open Settings > Connected apps and click Disconnect next to Manus. Access ends immediately.
